EPS cutters

To cut materials made out of Expanded Polystyrene also known as STYROFOAM, specialised thermal cutters are used, so called EPS cutters.

Using EPS cutters

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS or STYROFOAM) is an everyday material, as
follows out of its many possible uses. Despite this, cutting EPS is a

Loose pieces of EPS stick to everything, making the clean up afterwards

A thermal EPS cutter heats up the cutting edge which prevents the
material from splitting at its edges. The material thus melts instantly and is
sealed. Because no extra force is needed the material is cut tension-free.
The thermal cutter also avoids discolouring of the foam.
